Senate Judiciary Committee Rejects “Bathroom Bill”

On June 8, 2010, by the narrowest of margins (11-12), the New York State Senate Judiciary Committee voted to reject a bill known as the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA or the “Bathroom Bill”).

Something Fishy with “Senator Sushi”
There is another scandal brewing in the New York State Capitol.  This time it involves Senate Majority Leader Pedro Espada (D-Bronx). Recently State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo accused Espada of looting a not-for-profit Espada founded, Soundview Health Care Network, of $14 million, using it as his “personal piggy bank.”
