Recently, I spoke to a man who told me that he had attended a Bible-believing church as a boy. He said that the church had a “fire and brimstone” preacher that left him confused. I reminded him that God did not make salvation complicated; it's as simple as ABC.
Admit that you have sinned against God. “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” -Romans 3:10, 23 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” -1 John 1:8 Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and that he rose again. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” -John 3:16 “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” -Acts 16:31 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” -Romans 10:9-10 Call on Jesus Christ to be your personal Lord and Savior. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” -Romans 10:30 A simple and sincere prayer is all that it takes! Dear God, I now admit that I have sinned against you. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ, your Son, paid the penalty for my sins by dying on the cross for me. I believe that three days later, He rose from the dead. Right now I call on Him to be my Savior. Please come into my life and save me. In Jesus name, amen.
