A Conference for Concerned Christians 

New Yorker's Legislative Day is the largest one day conference held in the State Convention Center each year. This year’s theme is “Come Heal Us” and if ever there was a time when we needed the touch of God to heal our state – it is now!  With legislation pending that would expand abortion laws and sanction same-sex marriage we need God to turn the hearts of New Yorkers toward Himself.

At Legislative Day you will have the opportunity to meet your State Senator and Member of Assembly, receive legislative updates from Duane Motley, Tom Stiles and Jason McGuire, tour the Capitol, teach your children about civic responsibility and be challenged by dynamic speakers like Bishop Harry Jackson, Kathleen Gallagher and Stephen Hayford .

Teen Track 2008

Since today’s students are tomorrow’s voters, every teen should attend Teen Track 2008. While the adults are in the main sessions, students will be “hitting the campaign trail” as they learn about the various political parties, how the electoral process works and what it takes to run for office.

Mrs. Linda Koenig, homeschooling mother and gifted drama and history major, returns this year to lead Teen Track 2008. Mrs. Koenig and her team use PowerPoint presentations, skits, handouts, games and role playing to help students understand the election process.  Students will also participate in a mock election.

Students in public, private and home school settings are all encouraged to attend.  If you are a Christian school administrator, please consider bringing a group from your school.

What next? 

Once you have made the decision to attend, please invite your respective legislators to the breakfast. NYFRF does not invite them for you. Your legislators are much more likely to attend if invited by their constituents. This will provide an opportunity for you to build a relationship with your elected officials and let them know that you are praying for them. If your legislators have agreed to come, complete the bottom portion of the registration form.
