Legislative Day 2008 was a huge success!  When the theme “Come Heal Us” was chosen months earlier – little did we realize how appropriate that theme would be. 

• Bishop Harry R. Jackson, Jr. did a tremendous job of challenging us from the Word of God. 
• Mrs. Kathleen Gallagher told us what we can do to help defeat the greatest expansion of abortion law since 1973’s infamous Roe v. Wade decision
• Mr. Stephen Hayford armed us with information about the state of same-sex marriage in New York
• Senate Majority Leader Bruno made an appearance assuring those in attendance that same-sex marriage legislation will not move in the Senate while he remains leader
• Democrat Assemblyman Michael Benjamin spoke of his “Unborn Victims of Violence” Act
• Republican Assemblyman George Amedore shared his testimony and how God lead him to serve in the New York State Legislature
• Republican Assemblyman Peter Lopez was honored for voting 100% of the time with New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms
